'NURSERY
CRIMES'
Scene
– at the base of Humpty's wall.
Banana: I think we'll take this opportunity to cross
to our reporters at the scene of the crime. It would appear that a crowd
has gathered. Are you there Jemima?
(The scene crosses to Jemima and Ted standing in front of the crowd,
all watching the King's Horses and King's Men attempting to put Humpty
together again)
Jemima: Thanks Banana. Well it's just been crazy here
since the fall. It would appear that the King has heard of Humpty's
plight and so he sent the Royal Equestrian Ambulance to Humpty's aid.
We saw the King's men working frantically with sticky tape and clag
but things aren't looking too bright.
Ted: We'll see if we can get a word with one of the
King's men. Excuse me… Doctor Seuss? Ted E. Bear here from "16
Minutes". Could you tell us how he's doing?
Dr Seuss: Well things were looking rather grim
When we arrived to inspect him.
Dr Goose: We tried to mend him with some glue,
With sticky tape, a stapler too.
Dr Seuss: We tried to mend him in a train,
We tried to mend him in the rain,
Dr Goose: We tried to mend him on the roof,
Even the horses lent a hoof!
Dr Seuss: We tried to mend him in a tram,
We even tried green eggs and ham!
Dr Goose: But all of this to no avail,
Poor Humpty still looks rather pale.
Ted: Well, Banana, it would seem from this preamble
Humpty Dumpty's in a scramble.
