'A
WELL SPUN YARN'
Based
on William Shakespeare's ' A Midsummer Night's Dream'
Helen: I'm drawn to you like a blowfly to a fly strip.
Henry: Look, do I compliment
you in any way? No I don't 'cos you're about as off as a vegemite pavlova.
Helen: And even for that I love you more. I am your
sheep dog, Henry. Use me as your sheep dog. Kick me, beat me, call me
names, only let be near you.
Henry: Ergh! I'm sick when I look at you.
Helen: And I am sick when I don't look at you.
Henry: I'll run away and hide in the bush and leave
you to.. to... to the bilbies and echidnas and platypus.
Helen: Nothing is wilder than a man in uniform. Oh,
Henry!
(Exit Henry)
Helen: I'll follow you and make a heaven of this hell
to die by the side of the man I love so well.
