SENIOR PLAYS

- Plays for Secondary-Aged Performers -

Geared toward the Middle and Senior school year levels, each play usually has 25 substantial parts (plus chorus) and touches on some challenging dramatic areas

Usually comic, the plays provide a great opportunity for large group performances on contemporary and enjoyable themes

Shady Creek - In the style of 'Dimboola', 'Shady Creek' tells of Shazza & Dazza's big day which turns out in a reception worthy of Kath & Kim

Reunions - It’s a High School Reunion with all the soap opera characters – Ridge, Thorn, River, Brooke, Stream… But what secret is Mrs Mangle hiding?

Thirteen Years - It's the Year 12 Formal and everyone is there dealing with the petty biases of high school, issues of identity and their fears for the future

Bite Me - Dracula rises from his coffin only to be met by a modern world – a world where zombies drive combies and where pizzas come with free garlic bread

Disorient Express - The world’s most famous detectives – Who, Watt, Wear & Wendy – assemble to uncover where Wally really is. Things get confused as the famous train enters a tunnel and reality shifts slightly to the left

Mimesis - Four teens from France, Italy, Japan and Australia logon to a chat room and discover that not everyone is who they seem. Exploring issues of history repeating, biomimicry and parent-child relationships, this serious drama looks at identity and the expediency of fiction

No Man’s Land - Set in World War II, opposing soldiers find themselves in ‘No Man’s Land’ – a place outside time, where differences blur between friend and enemy. This is further complicated when they discover a young girl who helps them see their way back to the unreality of reality

And The Winner Is… - Three opposing films are up for an award on Hollywood's night of nights. Who will take ‘Oscar’ home? Or is there something else going on behind the cameras?

PGR - Everyone knows that an audition is nerve-wracking enough, but it can get even worse when your parents are there

Things - Movie themes make the mundane supermarket more dramatic; fetching frozen 'Dr Zhivago' shrimp, peeling a 'Space Odyssey' banana, the 'Chariots Of Fire' race to the checkout…
